The Crown Season 5, the highly anticipated fifth season of the critically acclaimed and widely popular drama series, will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 3 a.m. ET. Elizabeth Debicki, a well-known and talented Australian actress, will play the eponymous role, of Princess Diana, in Season 5 of the series. The very electric and engrossing historical series was created by Peter Morgan. He has also authored all of the episodes for the forthcoming fifth season of the show. According to the official Netflix description for Season 5 of The Crown:
“This fictional dramatization, based on true events, depicts the narrative of Queen Elizabeth II and the political and personal events that influenced her reign. It’s a new decade, and the royal family faces what may be their most difficult test yet: demonstrating their ongoing relevance in 1990s Britain. As Diana and Charles fight in the public, fractures appear in the royal foundation.”

Elizabeth Debicki recently told The Guardian in an interview about The Crown Season 5:
“I understand what the program is about and what it is attempting to accomplish. I can also understand the response. I believe this is a period of time that has been and will continue to be recounted, and I know the amount of attention and respect people put into these stories….I mean, it is plainly fictitious. I believe viewers are aware of this because performers are performing roles. I never watched The Crown and thought to myself, “This is definitely a documentary,” or “This is certainly real.””

Elizabeth Debicki, a 32-year-old Australian actress, made her acting debut in 2010 with her portrayal of Chlo in the famous Melbourne Theatre Company’s production The Gift. The actress is most recognized for her roles as Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby (2013), Mina Jensen in The Cloverfield Paradox (2018), Virginia Woolf in Vita & Virginia (2018), and Catherine Barton in Tenet 2020.
