Elliot Spitzer was born on the 10th of June, 1959, in Riverdale, New York City, New York. He is the son of real estate mogul Bernard Spitzer and English literature professor Anne (née Goldhaber). He is the youngest of two brothers and sisters. They lived in the affluent Riverdale neighborhood of New York City’s Bronx.

Eliot graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1977, and he scored 1590 out of 1600 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
