Dustin Fox recently revealed details regarding his health state on X, which raised concerns among followers. However, his account is no longer active. Fans have speculated on numerous causes of his poor health, with some claiming he is suffering from a mental ailment. Dustin Fox, a former NFL cornerback, played from 2005 to 2008. The athlete formerly attended GlenOak High School and participated in two sports: football and track & field.

Dustin recognized his love for football and played collegiately at Ohio State University, where he led the team to the 2002 BCS National Championship. Furthermore, the player was picked in the third round (80th overall) in the 2005 NFL Draft and has spent his career with several organizations. He was a member of the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squads for the whole season. Moreover, the rookie played with the Buffalo Bills for two seasons, participating in eleven games.

Dustin Fox revealed certain details about his condition on January 31, 2024, via X (previously Twitter).

“Unless you’ve been there, no one understands the toll it has on your brain and family. My military pals understand it. “No one else understands.”

Given this, many of his supporters and followers expressed worry for his health and wished him well. Dustin thanked his followers for their kind words and announced his brief sabbatical from the air. He, too, expressed appreciation to the NFL and subsequently praised ESPN for their support. Although the former athlete has not stated the specific cause, individuals and the media have suggested that he may be suffering from anxiety or CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy).

The Athlete’s Post-Retirement Career

After retiring from professional football, Dustin Fox pursued a career in sports broadcasting. He began his career in 2010 by signing with Cleveland ABC station WEWS channel 5 as an Ohio State Buckeyes football commentator. During the 2010 college football season, he provided game reports for WKNR AM 850’s OSU pregame program.

After that, he went to WKRK-FM 92.3 and co-hosted the afternoon drive program with Adam Gerstenhaber. Dustin began working as a radio color commentator for the Cleveland Gladiators Arena Football League home games in 2012. Similarly, he increased his skills by co-hosting the Browns radio network’s postgame program. Currently, the broadcaster works in a variety of capacities, including college football commentator for ESPN networks. He also serves on the Cleveland Browns Radio Network on game days.
