Monson has been suffering from health concerns for some years, according to KIRO Newsradio. He also had a cardiac attack on Thursday, December 29, 2022, and was hospitalized as a result. KIRO Newsradio described the radio personality as a “longtime monitor of government and social concerns,” and added:
“Dori was recognized as a youngster from the “bad neighborhoods of Ballard” by his numerous listeners.”

Dori was also hailed by the organization as a “guy of great faith and an ardent supporter of girls’ sports for more than 25 years.” This is because Monson led the Shorecrest High School girls’ basketball team to its first state championship. While friends and family believe that Monson had a few health difficulties, he never stopped enjoying his life, as he liked deep-sea fishing with coworkers and playing pickleball with his family.
His coworkers regarded him as a loving husband and father, leaving behind a wife and three adult kids. However, his dedication to his profession can be shown in the fact that he was tweeting about social concerns from his hospital bed on December 30, 2022. As of yet, the family has not provided any information regarding the funeral or any upcoming events.
