Donny Osmond started his work as a part of the performing group The Osmonds at an early age, alongside his siblings Alan, Jay, Merrill, and Wayne. The trio quickly became regulars on The Andy Williams Show after a good tryout. In 1963, he made his stage début with the tune “You Are My Sunshine.” After a string of successful tracks and records in his teens, he became an adolescent hero. After The Osmonds split up in the 1980s, each sibling pursued a single career in the hopes of reaching a more mature audience. In 1974, he and his sister Marie Osmond launched their TV entertainment show, The Donny & Marie Show. The program ran on ABC from 1976 to 1979.
