Financial concerns were at the root of his parent’s bitter divorce.
When he met Braxton on tour, his father Keri was one of the original members of Mint Condition. They fell in love and finally married in 2001. They divorced after 12 years, though. Braxton went on The Red Table Talk in one of the episodes, “Surviving Divorce with Toni Braxton,” to discuss her traumatic divorce, where she disclosed the true reason for her divorce.
According to Braxton, she despised divorce and everything associated with it. She despised having to accept losing. It’s not that they didn’t make an effort. They restarted their connection after their divorce in an effort to preserve their relationship. They were optimistic. After the divorce, they dated for a year and a half to two years. She said that Braxton felt shallow since she and her ex-husband split up due to financial concerns. In 2007, Braxton was diagnosed with Lupus. She had to cancel the concert due to a lack of funds, which she claims were her own part of the marriage ending.
Because they worked together and in a family company, if she wasn’t working, he wasn’t either. She remembers Lewis seeing her in the hospital later in the day or even the following day when she was unwell. She’d believe he wasn’t coming because she was unwell. She said as she burst into tears,
“Money was only a tree ornament. Because I was unwell, he abandoned the tree itself “.
It made her insecure, and she always believed that if she wasn’t unwell, she’d work and they’d never have a deficit. She, on the other hand, has no hard feelings since they co-parent their two lovely children and spend holidays and special events together, such as Christmas and Thanksgiving. She considered her 12-year marriage to him to be a success.
He no longer exhibits symptoms of autism.
Diezel was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. His mother said in her biography “Unbreak my heart” that his autism was a punishment from God for faults she did over a decade earlier. She had an abortion when she was in her early 30s after discovering she was pregnant by her then-boyfriend Lewis. She never imagined she’d be presented with a decision she’d have to make despite serious reservations about abortion, and she finally made a heartbreaking decision due to her religious background, she said in her book.
She indicated in her heart that she felt she had taken a life, an action she feared God may punish her for, and the first wrath was swiftly followed by another intense feeling, remorse. She was aware she had taken a life and felt God had punished her by giving her kid autism. In an interview in 2016, Braxton reported that Diezel, then 13, had been healed of autism and displays no traces of the illness. She also emphasized that her son’s transformation was due to early diagnosis.
