Is Devyn Keith In jail?

Devyn Keith was arrested for allegedly stealing at the University Drive Walmart. He was, however, freed the same day he was arrested. At 1 p.m. on February 2, 2023, officers from the Huntsville Police Department (HPD) were called to 6140 University Drive on an unrelated incident. When cops arrived on the scene, they were informed of a shoplifting incident at a neighboring Walmart. Devyn Keith, a council member since 2016, was identified as the shoplifter. Keith was arrested and put into the Madison County Jail without incident. Keith was freed at 5:34 p.m. the same day after his arrest and first investigation. Keith responded to the matter the following day on his Facebook page.

He emphasized that he had left Walmart after using the self-service checkout. He did not, however, pay for a $20 set of headphones in his basket. Following the comment, several individuals connected to the scenario and said that they sometimes forget to pay for products at self-service checkouts. Keith’s friends and well-wishers have rallied behind him in the aftermath of the shoplifting charge.
