The premiere date for Netflix’s all-new thriller series Devil in Ohio has been announced. The limited series, based on true events and adapted from Daria Polatin’s book of the same name, reunites Bones actress Emily Deschanel for another riveting performance. Author Polatin also acts as the show’s showrunner, executive producer, and main writer. The series will be produced by Rachel Miller and Andrew Wilder, Ian Hay, and Jadene Stojak Babcock.

What exactly is Devil in Ohio about? Before the release, the synopsis and trailer were investigated.
Devil in Ohio is a thriller that recounts the narrative of Mae, a young girl who seeks safety in the house of psychiatrist Dr. Suzanne Mathis. However, Mae’s arrival in the home quickly turns the family’s lives upside down as she attempts to steal Jules, Suzanne’s daughter’s life. Jules then discovers that Mae is a survivor of a bizarre cult in a neighboring town, and they would go to any length to reclaim Mae. The following is the official Netflix summary for the series:
“When Dr. Suzanne Mathis, a hospital psychiatrist, takes in a mystery cult escapee, her life is flipped upside down as the unusual girl’s entrance threatens to tear her own family apart.”
The Devil in Ohio trailer was published by Netflix in August 2022. The teaser teases the series’ cryptic and gloomy tone, and we see how Suzanne meets Mae and welcomes her into her house. The footage also depicts the criminal cult from which Mae fled, and it clearly hints that they may have held Mae for human sacrifice. The teaser also reveals the perils that Suzanne may face once the investigations begin. Furthermore, Mae seems to be developing an infatuation with Suzanne and Jules, Suzanne’s kid.
When will the series be released?
Devil in Ohio, a Netflix original, will be released on Friday, September 2, 2022. Because it is a Netflix series, all of the episodes will be released on the same day.
