Deray Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois, and originally gained popularity after performing at comedy clubs nearby. Deray then moved to Los Angeles and triumphed in the Comedy Central Laugh Riots competition from there. Following his tour with Cedric the Entertainer, he jumped into the film industry.
