Dave is a former country artist turned TV host. He was a four-piece band member and aspiring musician. He was residing in London at the time. Wilson eventually relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he earned a solo contract with Lyric Street Records. Kortney was signed to the same record company as well. Both were issued by the label in 2003. In 2006, they formed The Wilsons to play as a pair. They eventually got their own show, Meet the Wilsons, which was an eight-part, half-hour series directed and edited by Bill Filipiak. Kortney and Dave released their self-titled album in June 2010.
Dave co-hosted the HGTV show “Making it Home with Kortney and Dave” with his now ex-wife Kortney. The show’s first season premiered in January 2020.
