Dan Henderson was born on August 24, 1970, as Daniel Jeffery Henderson in Downey, California, USA. He was born alongside his brother Tom Henderson, and their father, Bill Henderson, was one of the coaches who helped them with their wrestling in high school. He was raised in Apple Valley, California, and began wrestling at a young age.
