Career

Corliss Williamson began playing hoops in high school. He used to perform in secondary school, where he won numerous honors. Corliss was named all-conference and all-state three times. He was awarded Gatorade National Player of the Year in 1991-1992.

From 1992 to 1995, he also starred at the University of Arkansas. In 1992-93, he guided the institution to a 22-9 record and a Sweet 16 berth in the NCAA Tournament, and he was awarded the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Following that, Williamson guided Arkansas to the title game in 1995, but they were defeated by UCLA. Corliss declared his departure from playing in September 2007 to become an assistant coach at Arkansas Baptist College. He then spent three years as a voluntary instructor at Arkansas Baptist.

On March 12, 2010, he was appointed men’s basketball coach at the University of Central Arkansas. On August 2, 2013, he departed Central Arkansas to work as an assistant for the Sacramento Kings. Corliss departed the Kings on June 29, 2016, to become an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic under new coach Frank Vogel. On May 22, 2018, the Phoenix Suns revealed that Williamson had been appointed as an assistant coach under new coach Igor Kokov.
