When the deleted sequences from the 22-year-old actress’ ‘On Purpose’ music video became public in 2017, it fanned the relationship suspicions. Fogelmanis and Carpenter are seen having some cute moments in a YouTube video that reveals behind-the-scenes activity.
“Oh my gosh, I just want them to meet!” one viewer said in the video.
“Corey is the one who films her music video,” said another.
Similarly, many Instagram photographs published by Fogelmanis showed them having private moments together, leaving admirers in admiration. For example, in September 2017, the PrankMe celebrity granted a series of photos of himself and Carpenter. Sarah Elizabeth Carpenter, the actress’s sister, photographed the duo joking about and holding hands.

Sabrina Carpenter Defends Her Relationship With Corey Fogelmanis
Despite her PDA-filled moments with Fogelmanis, Carpenter has denied dating her co-star and close friend in 2018. First, she denied dating Fogelmanis when chatting with Seventeen for the August and September covers, stating he was a terrific friend and a significant supporter of her life. “He’s very witty and brilliant,” she remarked, noting that her connection with him was never more than that of wonderful friends.
“Oh, my God,” she said, “I don’t know how many times I’ve had to say that.” Carpenter also referred to him as a “wonderful buddy” in an Instagram post from August 2018. She posted a photo of them together to wish him a happy birthday.

In the message, she also thanked him for being a friend to her and not dating her. That explains why their dating rumors were nothing more than their followers’ desire to see them as a pair. Having said that, they never dated. Even now, Fogelmanis and Carpenter are strong friends who often feature in one other’s social media postings. Carpenter has previously been linked to Bradley Steven Perry (2014-2015), Griffin Gluck (2019-2020), and Joshua Bassett (2020-2021).
