Cody Assenmacher acknowledges that his ultimate objective is to win the show’s $100,000 prize.
Cody Assenmacher was born in Preston, Iowa, and eventually relocated to Hawaii, which he describes as “heaven.” He is presently employed as a sales executive for a firm that manufactures elevators and escalators. His favorite pastimes, according to Fandom, include spending time outside, hanging out with friends, and traveling. Cody Assenmacher discusses the obstacles of competing in Survivor as someone from Iowa and Hawaii, locations where “people look at one other in the eyes, make vows, and shake each other’s hands.” He continues,
“You know, they’re little places, small islands where everyone knows everyone, so you have to be a man of your word because that’s all you’ve got.”
Cody Assenmacher characterizes himself as an “adrenaline addict” in the video. Assenmacher says of his involvement in the performance,
“I was born to do this. This was my destiny. I manifested my appearance on the program, and now I’m manifesting my victory. So I’m going to play as myself in this game. This connection building up front and some crazy strategizing in the rear to sweep individuals out at tribal council.”
Cody Assenmacher told Parade that he’s on Survivor to “win a million dollars.” He has said that the $100,000 reward is his “driving factor.” He also discussed his enthusiasm for the program and how he initially became acquainted with it. Assenmacher said that his neighbors often came to his home and requested that he turn on CBS to watch Survivor. He became obsessed with the program because “people were chasing hens.
“Cody Assenmacher, like fellow participant Justine Brennan, stated he stopped watching the program later in life. His curiosity was revived, though, after binge-watching many episodes during the COVID-19 lockdown. Assenmacher knew then that he has the “talent to engage in and win this game.”
Cody Assenmacher said in the interview that traveling around and traveling throughout his life has indirectly prepared him to be a part of a program as exhilarating and adventurous as Survivor. He also said that his time in Hawaii had a huge impact on him and that his ability to adjust fast would benefit him in the program.
Assenmacher also remarked that being calm would give him an edge in the game. He said emphatically that he would have no regrets about the game and called it as a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” Survivor 43 will premiere on CBS on September 21, 2022.
