Sir Cliff Richard was born on October 14, 1940, in Lucknow, India, as Harry Rodger Webb. Rodger Oscar Webb and Dorothy Marie Dazely are his parents. His father worked for the Indian Railways as a catering contractor. His family relocated to England permanently after the Direct Action Day violence. Richard attended Kings Road Junior Mixed Infant School before moving on to Chestnut Secondary Modern School.
