Claudio Sanchez is an American musician, songwriter, and guitarist best known as the main singer and guitarist for the band Coheed and Cambria. He also happens to be a graphic novelist and comic book writer. He is the creator of best-selling comic book series such as Kill Audio and the Amory Wars, among others. Chondra Echert, his wife, assisted in co-authoring these novels. He also co-wrote the book Black Rainbow with Peter David.

Claudio Sanchez was born in Suffern, New York on March 12, 1978. Claudio Paul Sanchez III is his full name. He is of Italian and Puerto Rican heritage. Sanchez was the main vocalist and guitarist for the New York band Shabütie in 1995. He released a number of EPs. He also composed songs that were eventually published.
