A few months later, the charges were dropped, and Louis recovered custody of his son. The actor and Ruffner entered pleas of not guilty and requested placement in drug counseling programs.

Even with millions of people watching him, Louis Gossett Jr. lived his life in the shadows. Likewise, his ex-wife and baby mama, Christina Mangosing, also avoided the media. There is little information regarding her current whereabouts; however, on Mother’s Day 2020, her son, Satie, posted a tribute to his mother, stating that she died twenty years ago.
