Chris Roberts was born on May 27, 1968, in Redwood City, California, USA. He was born in the United Kingdom to a British father and an American mother. He was born in the United States but raised in Manchester, England, where he attended Parrs Wood High School.
While he was still a child, his father took him to see Star Wars at the Manchester Cinema in 1977, which became a game-changer in Roberts’ life, fueling his passion for galaxies and the space above.
He demonstrated great talent and passion for video game composition at a young age, creating games such as Wizadore and Stryker’s Run for the BBC Micro.
