Chris Redd Was Rushed To The Hospital After He Got Punched With Brass Knuckles

On the night of October 26, 2022, former Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Redd was assaulted near a comedy club. When Redd arrived at the Comedy Cellar at about 9:40 p.m., the event occurred outdoors. Following the attack, EMS arrived on the scene, and Redd was promptly taken to Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan and eventually discharged. Redd and Comedy Cellar representatives have yet to comment on the event. Chris is slated to appear in a few performances, including three at the Comedy Cellar on Thursday. On October 30, 2022, he will also play at the City Winery.

Given that he was freed, it seems that he did not sustain life-threatening injuries. After getting out of his vehicle, Redd was accosted by two individuals, both of whom were sporting brass knuckles. According to TMZ, Redd’s eyes and nose were hurt, necessitating stitches. Both people were dressed as security guards, with masks covering their faces.

Meanwhile, Redd was unable to identify any of his assailants, and police officials have already obtained security video from which they anticipate apprehending the perpetrators. According to witnesses, the assailants took Redd’s Greg Yuna chain, but it came apart on the street. Although it seems that the act was motivated by robbery, confirmation is still pending.
