Chris Huvane Killed Himself After Suffering From Depression For Many Years

Chris Huvane was a Hollywood talent manager who died on Sunday, February 6, at the age of 47. After fighting depression for many years, he allegedly committed himself. Huvane’s death was verified by his company, Management 360, in a statement to Deadline:

“This morning, we are heartbroken beyond words. Chris was simply referred to as “the finest of the best.” A terrific boss, consummate colleague and friend, a pillar of our organization and culture, and adored by everyone who has ever encountered him.”

The corporation also expressed condolences to Huvane’s family and said that his memory will be honored every day in the future:

“It’s a tremendous loss, and our hearts go out to his family and friends.” We are all better for having met Chris, and we pledge to carry on his legacy every day.”

 

 

The talent manager revealed his sadness in a Facebook post last year, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He sent Management 360 a snapshot of a Habitat for Humanity volunteer engagement and wrote:

“I recall this day well. It was week four of a long-term terrible depression that still left me with shrapnel to this day. Despite having a plethora of reasons to live, I was struggling to find drive to do so. Because my brain was wired wrongly, I had panic attacks for the first time in my forty-four years.”

Huvane was a well-liked media executive in Hollywood. The news of his untimely death stunned the business, and countless celebrities and fans took to social media to pay their respects to the late manager.

Huvane is survived by his father, Martin Huvane, and his wife, Cole Huvane. His brothers, Slate PR partner Stephen Huvane, CAA partner Kevin Huvane, Robert Huvane, Michael Huvane, Denise Whalen, and nephew Declan Huvane, survive him as well.

A look back at Chris Huvane’s life

Chris Huvane was born on June 29, 1974, in Yonkers, New York, and grew up there. According to The Los Angeles Times, he chose to pursue a career in entertainment after meeting Julianne Moore while working as a bellhop at a Manhattan hotel. Huvane arrived in Los Angeles in 2000 and began his work as a public relations specialist with HBH Public Relations. He subsequently worked for GQ magazine for eight years before being promoted to senior West Coast editor.

The media professional joined Management 360 in 2010 with the intention of becoming a talent manager. He went on to become a partner with the business in 2015, following a solid five-year tenure. The Hollywood official has had tiny playing appearances in films such as Joel Schumacher’s Tigerland in 2000 and Sex and the City later that year. He was also a co-producer on Mark Steven Johnson’s film Finding Steve McQueen and an executive producer on Bravo TV’s It’s a Brad, Brad World.

Chris Huvane was also engaged in other business initiatives such as The Dime Bar in Los Angeles and the Stout Burgers and Beer franchise in Palm Springs. Aside from his great job, he had a number of interests, including boxing, motorbikes, tattoos, and animals.
