Chris Doering was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 1996 NFL Draft. The Indianapolis Colts waived Doering in February 1998, and he was signed a week later by the Cincinnati Bengals. He was, however, waived prior to the 1998 regular season.
