Several questioned Bailey’s choice to partner with someone who had previously been accused of violence towards women. After the virality of Chloe Bailey’s February 16, 2023, the Twitter post announcing her collaboration with Chris Brown, some netizens rushed to social media sites to vent their displeasure. Some Twitter users, emphasizing Brown’s record as an abuser, remarked that the new collaboration was “disgusting” and requested Chloe to “remove” the post and the song from the album.

She accused him of following her, sending her derogatory texts, and attempting to physically hurt her.
