Chad Brown

Chad Brown has already had another run-in with the cops. Brown was sentenced to pay $1.6 million in compensation in 2019 after it was discovered that he had not paid overtime charges to his employees at the time.

What did Chad Brown’s lawyer have to say?

Brown was charged with felony obstruction of breathing after being accused of throwing a lady down the stairs and choking her. In the state of New York, this is classified as a class A misdemeanor. In addition, the accused might face a $1000 fine and a year in prison as a maximum sentence. The individual’s sentence might be reduced to three years of probation with no prison time. Chad Brown’s attorney, Joseph Gerstenzang, contended in court that the horse trainer simply assaulted the lady in self-defense. He said the lady broke into his Doten Avenue house while Brown was sleeping.

According to Gerstenzang:

“The incorrect individual was apprehended here.” It had been a home invasion. She broke into my client’s house. (She) was, in reality, the culprit. She arrived in the middle of the night, forcibly roused him up, and assaulted him. These charges reportedly happened when he was defending his girlfriend and himself.”

According to WNYT-TV (NBC station) news presenter Subrina Dhammi, the judge presiding over this court, Francine Vero, refused to accept it and said:

“This court is not in the business of accusing victims of domestic abuse.”

After being pushed by Chad Brown’s counsel, she corrected herself and referred to the lady as an “alleged victim.”

According to the arrest paperwork, what may have prompted the claimed altercation?

According to the arrest paperwork, the lady claimed to have been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Chad Brown. The lady, who is also a horse trainer, said she went to the 43-year-house old’s after being unable to contact him many times. She discovered Chad Brown with another lady after entering the house with a spare key she had in her hands. This seems to have aggravated matters for the horse trainer. Brown, according to the unnamed lady, shoved her down the stairs and tried to choke her before shoving her out the door.
