Celebrity IOU 2022 will debut on HGTV on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 9/8c. New inspiring tales of appreciation and emotional house renovations by Hollywood A-listers will be featured in the forthcoming season. Drew and Jonathan Scott, the series’ executive producers, will swing sledgehammers and blast down walls alongside eight new celebrities in the upcoming season of Celebrity IOU. These celebrities will enlist the Scott brothers’ assistance in renovating the houses of their loved ones as a way of expressing thank you for being a part of their life.
Cindy Crawford will appear on the first episode of Celebrity IOU.
Cindy Crawford, Drew Barrymore, Kate Hudson, Terry Crews, Wilmer Valderrama, Cheryl Hines, Idina Menzel, and the late Leslie Jordan are among the eight celebs slated to participate in Celebrity IOU. The first episode of Celebrity IOU will feature supermodel Cindy reaching out to the Scott brothers to assist her long-time closest friend and trainer. The episode 1 summary, titled Cindy Crawford’s Super Remodel, goes as follows:
“To begin the new series, Cindy Crawford will thank Sarah, her closest friend and personal trainer of more than 15 years, by presenting her a significant restoration of her family’s first house, which will include a luxury kitchen, living space, and guest bathroom.”
Cindy wishes to create a haven for Sarah, who has been suffering in her personal life. Sarah saved money to purchase a home and renovate it, but she had to spend it to pay medical fees when her husband was diagnosed with cancer. Cindy, who has been with Sarah through thick and thin, is now refurbishing her house.
Jonathan told ET about helping celebrities redecorate the houses of significant someone:
“It’s also strange because some people wonder, ‘Well, my gosh, why didn’t these celebrities do this before?’ These celebrities have all wanted to do something for these people selflessly for so long, but when you consider the complexities of a renovation, that’s not something that just anyone can bite off.”
He went on to say:
“We do this every day, and it’s an incredible feeling to be able to jump in and help, to be that conduit to transform someone’s life, someone who is so giving.”

An episode of Celebrity IOU will also include the late actor and comedian Leslie Jordon. The episode was shot only days before his death. Leslie will surprise his 40-year pals, Newell Alexander, 87, and Rosemary Alexander, 81, with a house remodel in the episode. Leslie said in the video about them:
“They have always been there for me.” I struggled with booze and experimented with drugs. I’ve been clean and sober for 25 years, but they had a role in that as well since they never judged me.”
Celebrity IOU’s new season is not only loaded with emotional moments, but also with numerous humorous perspectives from the stars. Jonathan stated some of Kate, Drew, and Terry’s amusing moments on the show:
“When you see Kate Hudson drop-kick a shed wall, you know she’s a badass, and Drew Barrymore, who came with a 40-page inspiration board and basically did the entire design on this place before I even had a chance to do anything.”
He continued:
“So, I turn around, and Drew and Terry are shirtless jackhammering, all oiled up in this place’s backyard. I don’t physically have those muscles that do that up here; I don’t even know how that’s possible!”
Celebrity IOU’s new season premieres on HGTV on Monday, November 14, at 9/8c. On the same day, the program is also available on Discovery+.
