While some people prefer to make their personal lives public, NBC News political reporter Carol Lee prefers to keep hers private. The former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association married an army officer in a private ceremony attended by only selected and close guests. The news about her wedding comes from a source other than the reporter.
We’ve gathered all of the available information about her wedding, as well as a look at her personal life, in this section. Continue reading to learn more!
Lee’s marriage to Major Ryan Harmon was a closely guarded secret
The NBC national political reporter did not make her wedding a public event, instead of marrying Major Ryan Harmon privately in June 2019. Her wedding also drew a select group of guests. The bridal party’s names were revealed by Politico magazine: Brianna Keilar, Elyse Labott, and Anne Schroeder. Julie Mason officiated at the wedding as well.
Adelman, Margaret Talev, Jeff Mason, Kate and Brooke Brower, Erica Werner, Kristen Welker, and John Hughes, Dafna Linzer and Bart Gellman, Elena Nachmanoff, Nedra Pickler, Dana Milbank, and Anna Greenberg, Jerry Seib, and John Garcia were also on the guest list. The wedding took place at the Hotel du Village in New Hope, Pennsylvania, Florida.
Their Mutual Friends Introduced Them
Thanks to the couple’s mutual friends, Fernando Lujan and Brianna Keilar, who are also a married couple, for arranging their fate, or the first meeting, as it were. Fernando Lujan and Brianna Keilar, mutual friends of Lee and Harmon, first introduced them at a barbecue scene. The two stayed in touch after their first “meet and greet,” as it were, and eventually dated.
Lee has already given birth to one child
Before marrying Ryan Harmon, the national political reporter had a son named Hudson Lee. The son is possibly from her previous relationship, but this is not certain because she has not publicly discussed the details of her previous relationship.
The reporter provided this information in a birthday tweet to Hudson in 2018. Her birthday tweet to her son in 2018 was the only time the reporter mentioned him in her social media handles.
