Brian Joseph Chesky was born in Niskayuna, New York on August 29, 1981. Deborah is his mother’s name, and she is Italian, whereas his father, Robert H. Chesky, is of Polish descent. They were both social workers. Allison’s older brother is Chesky.
Chesky developed an interest in art as a child, imitating drawings of paintings and designing toys and shoes. He then pursued a career in landscape architecture. In 1991, he enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design.
