Pitt recently accused Jolie of tarnishing the name of the winery they co-owned by selling a stake to someone with allegedly questionable professional credentials. According to court records, Pitt and Jolie agreed not to sell their interests without each other’s permission. According to Pitt’s legal team, Miraval began as a hobby and grew into a multimillion-dollar worldwide corporation. Furthermore, Pitt said that Jolie made no contribution to Miraval’s success.
According to the legal team, Jolie sold her stake in the winery to Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of Stoli Group controlled by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, who indicated an interest in managing it. According to the court filings, Shefler wants to get sensitive information for his own gain. They also accused Shefler of “cutthroat commercial methods.” According to Pitt, Shefler may utilize these strategies to do damage as retaliation for the custody dispute.

“She sold her shares knowing and intending that Shefler and his associates would strive to dominate the company to which Putt had dedicated himself and undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval.”
