Robert Anthony Stoops, also known as Bob Stoops, was born in Youngtown, Ohio, on September 9, 1960. He is currently 64 years old and a Virgo, according to the zodiac. He was born to Evelyn Stoops, his mother, and Ron Stoops Sr., his father.

Bob Stoops began working for the University of Iowa as a graduate assistant in 1985. He was consequently appointed as their assistant coach in 1987. After playing for the Sooners for two seasons, he transferred to Kent State. He spent just one season working for the team. In 1989, he was also hired by Kansas State University to be their new defensive coordinator. In 1996, he was appointed the new defensive coordinator at the University of Florida.
Later, in 1999, he appointed Bob as the University of Oklahoma’s new head coach. He guided his club to both the National Championship and the Big 12 Conference title in 2000. In the 2012 season, he guided the Sooners back into the top 25 and to the Cotton Bowl. Unfortunately, they fall short of Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies, who won the Heisman Trophy. As a result, throughout Stoops’ time at Oklahoma, numerous of his assistants went on to become head coaches. In other Division I-A programs, such as brother Mike Stoops’, it was thus (Arizona). He is the only head coach to have won the Rose, Orange, Fiesta, and Sugar Bowls during the BCS era. On June 7, 2017, he declared his retirement from coaching at colleges. Lincoln Riley succeeded him as the head football coach at Oklahoma. He also declared his intention to leave retirement on February 7, 2019. As a result, he was appointed head coach and general manager of the forthcoming XFL Dallas Renegades.
He assumed this position on April 14, 2020, and held it until the league’s closure. It was brought on by the COVID-19 outbreak-related bankruptcy. On April 13, 2022, he re-signed with the XFL. On November 28, 2021, he was appointed as Oklahoma’s temporary head coach for the bowl game.
