Blonde, based on the life of iconic actress and Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe, is due to launch on Netflix later this month. Andrew Dominic’s picture is based on Joyce Carol Oates’s biographical book, also named Blonde. The novel is a work of biographical fiction that was released in 2000. On September 8, 2022, the film had its world debut at the Venice International Film Festival. The film was distributed in a restricted number of cinemas throughout the United States and the United Kingdom a week later. The film has yet to be distributed in cinemas worldwide.
Blonde is classified NC-17 for explicit sexual content. This is a very unusual grade, with just roughly 100 films receiving it since its introduction in the 1990s. This is also the first NC-17 picture on Netflix. On September 28, 2022, the film will have its worldwide debut on Netflix. According to Netflix’s regular release schedule, the film might premiere at midnight PT/3 a.m. ET.

The film’s teaser was released some time ago. The set images were also leaked. All of this has generated a tremendous amount of excitement for the picture, owing mostly to Ana De Armas’ portrayal of Marilyn Monroe. Blonde’s highly stylized trailer introduces Ana De Armas as Marilyn Monroe from the start. In front of a mirror, the skilled actress recreates Monroe’s iconic portrait. Marilyn then returns to her past in the trailer. This might be how the film depicts Norma Jeane’s history and her road to becoming Marilyn Monroe. The teaser is complemented by excellent background music as it depicts Norma at different stages of her life, including her multiple marriages, breakdowns, and spectacular time in Hollywood. The film is said to be about the actress’s breakdown once she realized she couldn’t be “Marilyn Monroe” anymore.

Ana De Armas has previously highlighted how tough it was for her to put herself in the shoes of Marilyn Monroe, a disturbed lady. Armas talked with Entertainment Weekly about the film’s sexual sequences and her experience shooting it.
She said,
“I knew what I was doing, and I felt quite comfortable and protected. Because I was in charge, I didn’t feel exploited. That was my choice. I knew exactly what I was doing with the film. I had faith in my director. I had the impression that I was in a secure place.”
