During her UK tour, Billie Eilish mentioned Johnny Depp’s defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in an unreleased song. She is presently on tour throughout the United Kingdom in support of her second album, Happier Than Ever. On June 7, Eilish performed in Manchester’s AO Arena, where she unveiled a new song named TV. It’s a somber and sorrowful song, and the lyrics relate to the just concluded Depp vs. Heard trial.

Billie Eilish makes reference to the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard trial.
For her performance, Eilish sat on a stool, joined by her brother and collaborator Finneas, who was playing acoustic guitar. She introduced the song by saying:
“We haven’t performed a new song live before it was released since 2017 or 2018.” We simply composed this one and wanted to perform it for you.”
She performed:
“What’s the aim of it all?” All of my buddies have gone missing once again / It’s what happens when you fall in love.”
Billie apparently alluded to her recent separation with Matthew Tyler Vorce before moving on to the trial that dominated social media:
“While they’re overturning Roe v. Wade, the internet has gone crazy watching Hollywood stars on trial.”
The lyrics are rather harsh, as she discusses how people are enthralled with watching two celebrities involved in a court battle when other huge developments are taking place that will have an influence on society for years to come. Billie Eilish’s tour will take her to additional cities in the United Kingdom, including London, Birmingham, and Glasgow.
Johnny Depp’s life after winning the Oscar
Johnny Depp was granted $10.35 million in damages in the defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard. Depp had sued Heard in 2018 for referring to herself as a victim of domestic abuse in an op-ed she penned for The Washington Post. The Aquaman actress had counter-sued Depp, and the jury awarded her $2 million in compensatory damages. After winning the lawsuit, Johnny Depp made a statement declaring that he got his life back, because:
“False, extremely severe, and criminal claims were leveled against me in the media, triggering an unceasing torrent of hostile material, despite the fact that no charges were ever filed against me.”
He said that the jury had returned his life to him after six years. He went on to say that he took the choice to pursue the lawsuit despite understanding how high the legal challenges would be. Johnny Depp was not visible on the day of the judgment because he was due to play in England with Jeff Beck. Following his triumph, he spent $60,000 at an Indian restaurant in Birmingham with Beck and the tour team. Depp and Beck will play in Sheffield City Hall on May 29, 2022, and the Royal Albert Hall in London the following day. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor also joined TikTok and sent a heartfelt message of thanks to his followers.
