William Tulloch Paterson (born 3 June 1945) is a Scottish stage, film, television, and radio actor. Throughout his career, he has appeared in a number of radio dramas and narrated a number of documentaries. Comfort and Joy (1984), Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (1986), Truly, Madly, Deeply (1990), Wives and Daughters (1999), and other films and television series have featured him.

Bill Paterson Biography
William Tulloch Paterson was born on June 3, 1945, in Glasgow. Paterson was raised in Dennistoun by his plumber father and hairdresser mother. He claims that his interest in acting began in 1961, during a school trip to the Citizens Theatre in the Gorbals. However, after high school, he chose to pursue a career in architecture, spending three years as a quantity surveyor’s apprentice before enrolling in the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

- Paterson made his professional acting debut at the Glasgow Citizens Theatre in 1967, alongside Leonard Rossiter in Bertolt Brecht’s The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui.
