Bill Fagerbakke was born In Fontana, California. He relocated to Rupert, Idaho, in his boyhood. In 1975, he earned his high school diploma from Minico. He was a three-sport athlete who previously competed for the Spartans in basketball and football. He had numerous scholarship offers from his college, including Pac-8 schools, as he was the best football player in his college. He studied in Moscow at the University of Idaho. Later, Fagerbakke attended Dallas, Texas’s Southern Methodist University.
