Big Sean has been dating Jhene Aiko since 2016.
Big Sean and Jhene Aiko have been dating since their album Twenty88 was released in 2016. Furthermore, they went on tour to promote the record, and fans saw the couple together as they declared their love for each other in various interviews. During an interview with Billboard at the time, Sean stated:
“Jhene is much more than a buddy. I’m not sure how else to put it; me and her are simply nice like that. I adore her and know she loves me. I was ready to make that commitment – something that would endure and stand out from the crowd.”
In an interview with Flaunt Magazine, the pair stated that they initially met in 2012 at No I.D.’s studio. They worked together on the track I Know and performed in the same music video. The couple was seen together on many occasions. Aiko commented about her connection with Sean around the release of her second album, claiming that after losing her brother Miyagi in 2012, she was looking for someone who reminded her of him until she met Big Sean. She went on to say that their connection started as a friendship, which strengthened their closeness.
Aiko showed her affection for Sean by getting a permanent tattoo on his face and posting images of it on social media. In 2019, she revealed that she and Sean had divorced. In 2019, he released the song Single Again, which was inspired by his split with Aiko. The two did, however, work together again on Aiko’s song None of Her Concern, which was released the following year.
After Big Sean wished Jhene Aiko a happy birthday in 2020 and they attended the Grammy Awards together the following year, there were whispers about their reunion. There have been no rumors of their divorce since then, and as previously stated, the couple just welcomed their first child together.
