Benjamin Bratt has been happily married to his wife, Talisa Soto, for about 20 years as of this writing. They have been blessed with two lovely children throughout their marriage: a girl, Sophia Rosalinda, and a boy, Mateo Bravery.

That being said, life hasn’t been easy for the actor and his wife, particularly since one of their children suffered brain damage during birthing, resulting in physical problems in their firstborn daughter. Bratt stated in a People piece that they were completely befuddled and disoriented for the first several years following the birth of their kid.
He and his wife “faced as parents were like being in a tunnel of darkness for the first few years of her existence since we didn’t know what to do,” he says. Bratt and his wife, Soto, are devoted parents to their three children. They took the time to educate themselves on their daughter’s illness and devoted all of their efforts to put together the greatest team of therapists they could muster. Sophia made excellent progress as a result of their combined efforts. The adoring father subsequently stated that his daughter “understands everything, she laughs quickly, she’s affectionate, and she’s a physically stunning kid.” Mateo, her younger brother, was also extremely supportive and pushed his sister when necessary, he said.

During another interview, Bratt told the source that the first eight years of his marriage to Soto seemed like six months since the two of them were so compatible. In 2001, they were cast as lovers in Pinero, and a year later, they married. She is arguably most recognized for her appearances in Mortal Kombat and its sequels Mortal Kombat: Annihilation in 1997 and Mortal Kombat 3: Domination in 2003 as the exotic Kitana. Prior to her marriage to Bratt, she was married for three years to actor Costas Mandylor, who she divorced in 2000. Despite making news for his split with Oscar star Julia Roberts, Bratt had never been married until Soto.
