Barry Bonds was born on July 24, 1964, to Patricia and Bobby Bonds. His father was a major league baseball player. He was born in Riverside, California, but spent his childhood in San Carlos.

Barry Bonds began his professional career in San Mateo, California. This took place during his time at Junipero Sierra High School.
