Asistio is presently employed with NBC Bay Area. She joined the channel as a weekend anchor in October 2021. She also co-anchors the newscasts at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. with co-anchor Terry McSweeney. Asistio spent more than five years at NBC10 Boston before joining NBC Bay Area. In August 2016, she became the full-time news anchor for NBC10 Boston. She covered numerous big news events there, including the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan, and the assassination of George Flyod in 2020. Furthermore, she was the sole reporter to give a live stream of the Halloween Day terrorist incident in 2017.
