Asia wa Charles, popularly known as Asia Namirembe, a popular Ugandan TikTok celebrity, died on January 27, 2023, at the age of 36. SB4 Media’s Rogers Sebunya verified the news, requesting that everyone pray for the well-being of her family members. Asia’s relatives reported that she had stomach trouble and a toothache for a week. When the situation deteriorated, she was rushed to the hospital and required emergency surgery. She did not survive the procedure, however, and was declared dead on Friday morning.
Following her passing, her buddy Charles conveyed his sadness in a video shot during Asia’s memorial by NBS entertainment writer Kayz. Namirembe was described as his closest friend, and he stated he will miss her since she had an interesting personality and was well-liked by everyone in the areas she visited. Charles went on to say that they were planning a couple more concerts.
“I am really grieved,” said netizens in the aftermath of Asia wa Charles’ death.
Asia washed Charles was renowned for being open-minded, and her alleged “love affair” with Charles drew media attention. While the couple was filming wedding clothing advertisements, word spread on social media that they had married. Charles has appeared in multiple Tiktoker videos. Furthermore, SB4 helped Asia become a prominent social media celebrity, and her fans and following adored her for her dancing and skits with Charles. They even appeared as a couple at numerous occasions. Since Asia wa Charles earned popularity on TikTok for her hilarious video, Twitteratis swarmed the social media site with condolences as soon as word of her tragic death broke.

Many well-known social media stars attended Asia wa Charles’ burial On January 30.
Asia was laid to rest on January 30, 2023, at Nakasoga village, Kirumba sub-county, Kyotera District. Well-known social media stars attended the burial, as did Frank Abaho, President of the TikTokers Association in Uganda. He commended all of the TikTok stars in attendance for changing their schedules to pay their respects to Asia.
Several additional celebrities were present during the funeral. The National Unity Platform’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, alias Bobi Wine, was also there and encouraged all TikTok stars to utilize the platform to raise awareness on different topics. It came out that Robert was Asia’s former classmate, and the two also shared a village.

Asia’s buddy Charles, also known as her husband, addressed the audience and stressed that he and the Ugandan TikToker were not married. Despite being portrayed as husband and wife on several websites, Charles indicated that he and Asia worked on TikTok videos.
