Ashley Russell, a fitness blogger and Alabama college student, has accused Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine of contacting her on Instagram. The influencer said that he started texting her earlier this year. Russell came under fire when four additional women reported similar experiences with the artist. Ashley Russell said that the Instagram conversations started on March 13. According to the 21-year-old, the Moves Like Jagger singer would follow her Instagram stories and contact her “nearly every night around 10 p.m.”
Russell, who was 20 at the time the two met online, said that her Instagram story “was constantly seen by him.” She continued, saying:
“He was more interested in booty tales and would usually respond with something about leg or booty day at the gym.”
Adam Levine wrote in one of his messages:
“It’s leg day.” The most crucial and simplest to overlook.”
He asked Russell whether she was in college in another message before stating, “great work on legs. #commitment.” The messages stopped flowing in after she warned him that he would “be caught DMing females like me,” according to the fitness influencer.

On Instagram, the influencer has 4,383 followers. Russell’s Instagram is loaded with photos of her working out and flaunting her body. “Health x exercise,” her Instagram profile says. Russell seems to be new to the influencer community, but this hasn’t stopped her from posting consistently in order to build a following. She also has a series of Instagram stories that are largely about fitness. Among the words are “feelin it,” “workouts,” and “2021.”
Her most recent Instagram post was just a day ago. After what seemed to be a workout, the influencer was snapping a selfie in front of the mirror. She also posted a series of photos to the carousel in which she flaunted her body. She wrote in the caption:
“pictures throughout the next several weeks”
I need to be more consistent with my creatine intake, which I will (hopefully) do.” The influencer seems to be unsponsored by any company. However, with a rising fan base, fans should anticipate it to happen soon. Ashley Russell said in an interview that Adam Levine’s conversation with her was “strange.” She decided to carry on the discussion with him to see how far their interactions would go. He also allegedly informed her that he discovered her on Instagram’s Discover Page. She revealed:
“He claimed he discovered me on Instagram via his Discover Page because he is ‘huge into fitness,’ and I have a fitness account.” I knew it was strange, so I wanted to see if it became worse.”
Russell stated on Instagram that Adam Levine stopped messaging her after she warned him about being discovered. He did, however, continue to watch her tales. She further said,
“I believe this is the genuine definition of contempt for a woman.” It saddens me that he is married and doing such an immature thing.”
She further said,
“I’m curious what his feed looks like… all young women?” Very strange to me.”
Prior to Russell’s admission, Instagram model Sumner Stroh was the first to accuse Levine of infidelity. Following her, yoga instructor Alanna Zabel accused him of sending unwanted texts. Maryka, a comedian and award-winning vocalist, also accused Levine of being flirty with them. Behati Prinsloo is Adam Levine’s wife. The couple has two children and is expecting a third. According to a source close to the Victoria’s Secret model, she is “upset but she believes there was no physical affair.”
