Arnold W Donald started for Monsanto as a summer market researcher after Carleton College. When he started working, he attended Washington University in St. Louis. During his 23-year tenure, he had many responsibilities. He became company GM in 1986. He led Monsanto’s Lawn & Garden Business from 1988 to 1993.
Arnold grew unit revenues from $40 million to $200 million. In 1993, he was named group vice president for North America and a year later, Latin America. In 1995, he led Monsanto’s Crop Protection Unit.
