April Ross

April Ross is a professional beach volleyball player from the United States. As a senior, she was named Gatorade National Player of the Year and named California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Player of the Year at NHHS in 1998 and 1999. In 2004, she received the Honda Sports Award as the nation’s top female collegiate volleyball player at USC. On July 4, 2009, she and Jennifer Kessy won the FIVB World Championships in Stavanger, Norway, defeating Brazilians Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa Franca. She was voted the FIVB’s Top Rookie and Most Improved Player in 2007.

In 2009 and 2011, she has crowned the Women’s FIVB World Tour’s Best Hitter. She earned a silver medal with Jennifer Kessy at the 2012 Summer Olympics and a bronze medal with Kerri Walsh Jennings at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Ross and Kessy also won the Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2009. Ross and Alix Klineman started playing beach volleyball at the end of 2017.

Klineman and Ross won the FIVB Dela Beach Open in January 2018, the Austin Open, the Manhattan Beach Open, the Championships (in Chicago), the Hawaii Invitational, the Huntington Beach and New York City Open AVP tour events, the FIVB Itapema Open in mid-May, and the silver medal at the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships in Hamburg, Germany.
