Bradley Keenan, April Ross’ spouse, was a former professional beach volleyball player. He is presently the head coach of Arizona State University’s beach volleyball team. Ross married her boyfriend in 2010 on “one of the funniest nights of her life.” She characterized the day as such since it entailed her plunging into a pool while clad in her wedding attire. Keenan made his pro debut on the AVP circuit in 2006, and he and his partner regularly participated in the same circuits. They started dating in 2007. In 2014, Ross and Keenan won the first AVP event of the season in St. Petersburg, Florida. Keenan won with partner John Mayer, while Ross won with Kerri Walsh Jennings (with whom she is partnering in the Olympics with). Ross recalls the day as one of her favorites since the pair won together.
Ross views everything as a competition, even when they’re just working out in the weight room, as Keenan has learned. She, on the other hand, admires Keenan’s coaching talents. According to Heavy, Ross said after ASU hired her husband that the players would value her husband’s coaching as much as she does. Her spouse was regarded as a “very to-the-point” instructor by her wife. According to her, Keenan did not like to sugarcoat things and was fantastic at building a joyful and inclusive workplace. She went on to say that he was excellent at making everyone feel welcomed and a part of the team.

Ross and Keenan do not yet have children, but they do have a cat called Critter, whom they cherish as if she were their kid. Keenan rescued her from a shelter while they were still dating. Ross also often posts photos of himself with his niece and nephew. She just shared photos on Instagram of her family enjoying Christmas and Halloween. Her spouse, on the other hand, prefers to keep his personal life secret. The ASU Beach Volleyball head coach even has his Instagram account set to private. For a sport that requires a lot of travel, the pair has found continuous sources of support in one another.
