Love at first sight seems to be something out of a fairy tale. Many others, though, swear by it and think it occurs. Anne Hathaway, the celebrated actress, is one such individual. At first sight, she fell in love with her husband, Adam Shulman, and felt he was the one for her. They normally keep their connection private. Regardless, they often attend events together and discuss their marriage in interviews, offering visitors a glimpse into their lives.
The couple has been married for a decade and has two children. But it wasn’t all rainbows and butterflies for them.
Anne Hathaway and Her Husband’s Relationship
Hathaway knew she’d found the love of her life the instant her eyes met Shulman’s. At the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008, they were met by a mutual acquaintance and immediately clicked. She knew she was going to marry Shulman and informed a friend, which she subsequently confirmed to Harper’s Bazaar UK in 2013. That year, however, was not a happy one for Hathaway. The actress was going through a public split at the time. She’d recently broken up with her ex-boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri. Follieri has previously been arrested for fraud. He received a four-year jail term for scamming individuals, including priests, out of millions of dollars.
As a consequence, Hathaway had interpersonal trust difficulties and said, “I also realized that I couldn’t have met him at a worse moment.” But, as the old adage goes, if something is meant to be, it will be. Despite the controversy and heartbreak, The Princess Diaries actress followed her instincts and dated Shulman. It was an unsettling event, to be sure, but being alongside Shulman helped to alleviate her concerns. She grew to trust him and, in the process, became a better version of herself. After four years of dating, the couple married in September 2012 in a low-key ceremony at Big Sur on the California coast. The pair celebrated their “I Dos” in front of 150 guests during the intimate wedding ceremony.

As previously stated, Hathaway and her spouse have two children. Since their marriage, the actress has expressed a desire to have children and build a family with her spouse. Her dreams were realized three years later when she became pregnant with her first kid. On January 4, 2016, she announced her pregnancy on Instagram by uploading a photo of herself showing off her baby bulge.
On March 24, 2016, the couple had their first child, Johathan. The Dark Knight Rises actress announced her pregnancy on Instagram in June 2019. While doing so, she spoke openly about her infertility and offered her support to those who were going through the same thing. Jack, their son, was born in November 2019.

There’s a good possibility Hathaway and her husband will have additional children in the future. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October 2020, the actress said she had no idea about her family’s future. According to her claims, the couple wants additional children at times and not at others. Only time will tell whether Hathaway and her husband will add to their brood.
