Ankhal, a Puerto Rican rapper, is allegedly in serious condition after being wounded numerous times during a firefight in Fajardo on Tuesday, February 22. According to reports, the artist was shot while riding in a car with two other passengers. According to Rolling Stone, police responded to a 911 call at 10:17 p.m. on Las Flores Avenue in Fajardo’s Florencio area and discovered the artist covered in severe bullet wounds.
His companion passenger, Jose De Leon, 25, was discovered in a similar state at the site. The guys were initially brought to a local hospital, but owing to the severity of their injuries, they were sent to Rio Piedras Medical Center for emergency surgery. At the time of writing, no one had been detained in connection with the crime. However, Joaquin de la Cruz Santiago, Director of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC), informed El Nuevo Dia that the singer’s automobile was approached and fired at by two “masked men.” According to officials, no motive for the crime has been established so far, but police continue investigating.
