Greeff’s public relations manager, Louise Crouse, told News24 that they were very shocked and crushed by her sudden departure. Greeff had surgery in 2022 to remove a 15cm-diameter malignant tumor from her back.

She started feeling discomfort in her side around two months before she died. Her cancer diagnosis was confirmed on Monday. Myburgh earlier told News24 that Greeff sought medical assistance and was brought to the hospital after experiencing terrible agony. In a recent Instagram post, she requested financial assistance, requesting R200,000 for medical expenditures. A BackaBuddy campaign was launched, and contributions totaled more than R278,000.
