Sherald. Her father was a dentist by trade who died of Parkinson’s disease in 2000. Likewise, she had a brother called Michael Sherald who died of lung cancer.
She had an interest in art since she was a child, but when she went on a school trip to the Columbus Museum, she discovered that art was more than just something in a book or an encyclopedia; it was real life. In terms of education, Sherald attended St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School in Columbus.
