Amy Schumer Explained Why She Fired Her Doula And Badgley’s Wife

Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer recently disclosed the reason for terminating her doula and Badgley’s wife, Domino Kirke, on Penn Badgley’s podcast, Podcrushed. Amy Schumer’s son Gene was delivered in 2019 with the assistance of doula Domino Kirke. She said she had to terminate Kirke because she was so vulnerable after being diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum and having to have a C-section that she didn’t want Kirke’s ‘goddess vibe’ in her home any longer. She stated:

“Domino is a goddess.” She floats about the home like a siren. She’s so attractive, that when she touches you, you simply melt. And she was really a part of the family. And I just felt so exposed that I thought, “I can’t have this Botticelli f**king goddess flying over my house while I’m like, bleeding out.”

The actress was impacted by her recuperation from a C-section, which was not regarded an acceptable excuse. She said that she was not strong enough to allow Kirke to come inside the home and that she would maybe speak with Kirke about whatever had occurred in the past. She said,

“We were going to work together long after I had Gene, and then I was like, ‘I’m okay, I don’t need a post-partum doula anymore.'”

Amy Schumer discusses her son’s health difficulties

Amy Schumer gave an update on her son’s health difficulties on the podcast Dear Chelsea in March 2022. She indicated that her kid may be autistic. Schumer also said that her husband, Chris, is dealing with the same issue. During an interview with broadcaster Chelsea Handler, she said,

“He’s two and a half, and I believe they don’t diagnose children until they’re six at the most.” You can notice certain symptoms, but the diagnosis doesn’t arrive until later, and I honestly don’t care either way it goes. You just want your children to be healthy and happy.”

Amy Schumer attempts IVF to have another kid

Schumer had already tried IVF to have another kid. She addressed the issue on the iHeartRadio program, Dear Chelsea. The 41-year-old said that the IVF technique is complicated, yet it is often used. She tried it once and thought she was going to die. She continued, saying:

“I received like 31 eggs and thought, ‘I’m Fertile Myrtle.'” I was quite heated. Then there was a drop off after fertilization; we only received one normal embryo and attempted, but it didn’t work… I no longer have a uterus.”

She and Chris would have one kid and enjoy their little family, according to the Saturday Night Live presenter. She spoke regarding the birth of her son Gene:

“I’m delighted, but I’m also sad.” And you don’t really feel pity for it because it’s like, you already have one b**ch, shut up. But, you know, that’s a genuine issue for folks.”

Amy Schumer is best known for her roles on the NBC reality show Last Comic Standing and the Comedy Central sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer.
