Following the failure of his marriage to actress Jane Kaczmarek, actor Bradley Whitford is now enjoying a joyful union with his second wife, Amy Landecker. Interestingly, the two had a rocky start to their relationship, as Landecker, well known for her role as Sarah Pfefferman on Transparent, was displeased by the actor when they first met.

In an interview with People in January 2016 at Amazon’s Golden Globe Celebration at the Beverly Hilton Stardust Ballroom, the actor’s wife said that she and Whitford didn’t fall in love at first sight. Instead, when they were just friends, she believed he was “an arrogant actor guy” for about a year.
“I knew Bradley for a year before we dated,” she said, “and I wasn’t really that intrigued.”
Landecker said that she had just discovered that if she didn’t like someone initially, it indicated that they were great for her. The diva referred to the fact that she became happy she had ever been after dating Whitford. In 2015, the now-married pair initially met on the set of Transparent. Landecker portrayed Sarah in the comedy-drama television series, while Whitford appeared in recurring appearances as Marcy and Magnus Hirschfeld.

Whitford and his wife Landecker started dating in the summer of 2015 and engaged in March 2018. The pair announced while attending the 11th Annual Celebration of the 2018 Female Oscar Nominees at Crustacean in Beverly Hills. The actress was seen with a diamond sparkler on her ring finger. A year later, in July 2019, the couple married in a modest ceremony. Whitford confirmed the news on Twitter, saying, “Commander Lawrence married Mrs. McKenzie today in Santa Barbara, in a surprising and completely unexpected narrative twist. The shark was jumped, but the pair is thrilled.”
His tweet was accompanied by a picture of the couple and their pets. Landecker’s publicist subsequently confirmed to People that the two were married in the Santa Barbara courtroom by political activist Ady Barkan, with their children from previous marriages and dogs, Izzy and Otis, at their sides. Furthermore, the actress wore a modest blue gown and carried a bouquet, but the actor wore a sports coat and leaned against his bride.

Before they started dating, Whitford and Landecker married their respective ex-partners. From August 1992 until October 2010, the West Wing actor married actress Kaczmarek. Frances Genevieve, George Edward, and Mary Louisa were the former couple’s three children. However, the marriage ended when they announced their divorce after 16 years of marriage in June 2009. In October of 2010, the divorce was completed. Whitford’s wife Landecker was previously married to musician Jackson Lynch, with whom she had a daughter. In 2011, she divorced her ex-husband.
