Ken was born in Michigan to parents who were South Korean immigrants. He grew raised in North Carolina. Since his youth, his family has placed a high value on education. So he was extremely attentive, and he was also a medical student in Louisiana, where he was involved in the theater. Ken relocated to Los Angeles after graduating from Ochsner Medical Center and worked as a physician at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Woodland Hills for many years.
Following that, he frequented The Improv and Laugh Factory Clubs. That’s how he begins receiving television opportunities. In 2006, he left his doctorate to pursue a career as an actor full-time. Parents’ Adore Story
Tran, her mother, is Vietnamese-American and was born and raised in the United States. Tran’s family is likewise rife with physicians. Ken and Tran met while working as coworkers at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Woodland Hills. That’s how the pair got along and dated for two years before marrying.
In September 2004, the pair exchanged wedding vows. There isn’t much information available about their wedding ceremony or any related facts. Beautiful photo with her Mom (Tran) and Dad (Ken) dressed up, with Ken captioning it, ‘Always, thank you…’ Following their marriage in 2007, the couple was gifted with two lovely twin daughters, Zooey and Alexa Jeong.
The couple was overjoyed with the entrance of two lovely angels into their lives. Tran was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after the birth of their twins, and the news was both traumatic and terrifying for their family. Tran had almost sixteen Chemotherapy treatments as well as a mastectomy. But, by God’s grace, she was completely healed in 2010 with the assistance of radiation treatment. Throughout the sessions, however, her husband and family were at her side the whole time, encouraging her to remain cheerful and optimistic. The family is now residing in Calabasas, California.
Ken Jo is devastated by his wife’s cancer struggle.
When Tran was diagnosed with cancer, her doctor told her she had a 23% chance of surviving. Ken had quit his doctor’s profession at the time to seek a career in comedy. He was upset by the news since he was unemployed and had just given birth to twins. It was the most difficult period in the comedian’s life. While Tran was undergoing therapy, Ken became well-known for his portrayal as Leslie Chow in the film The Hangover. Only the director of the film, Todd Philips, and his co-star, Bradley Cooper, were aware of what was going on in Ken’s life. Three years later, his wife was cancer-free, and there was no going back for Ken’s career.
Ellen requested medicine from Ken Jeong for her injured neck.
Ellen asked Ken Jeong, who used to be a doctor, for some medicine for her injured neck; he recommended a couple and asked her what she did. She stated that she was taking steroids, muscle relaxants, and a Toradol injection. She takes two Advil and two Tylenol after the injections. Ken thought it was helpful since his wife, who was also a doctor, claimed that taking Advil and Tylenol combined was as effective as certain drugs.
When asked about the Emmys, Ken said that he considers it to be a fun date night with his wife. As of 2019, he has a twelve-year-old twin daughter called Alexa Jeong and Zooey Jeong. Ellen asked whether his daughters like his acting and think he’s amusing, to which Ken said that they don’t. Ken celebrated his 50th birthday with a karaoke party at the ‘Brass Monkey’ in downtown Los Angeles, which was arranged by his wife.
He went on to say that they hired it for a night with a large group of friends and family and had a great time. Ellen then inquired about the second season of his program, ‘The Masked Singer,’ and the adjustments that may be expected this season.
