Alex Stein, a Texas native, has gone popular on social media with his rap song asking for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s execution. The social media star can be heard rapping in front of a live broadcast of the North Texas City Council meeting in the viral video. The songs’ lyrics include “Put a bullet in Putin’s brain” and “Vladimir Putin must die.” This is hardly his first appearance at such a gathering.
Stein, who had a short appearance on ABC’s reality show The Glass House in 2012, has earned notoriety for appearing in recordings at political gatherings and causing a commotion. Despite his self-description as a comic and satire, one journalist accused him of transphobia.
Who is Alex Stein, and what did he sing at the council meeting?
Alex Stein is a self-described professional troll and comic. He is also a well-known YouTuber, having 24.6K followers. Stein graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas’ wealthy Highland Park area. Alex Stein has portrayed a reality TV villain, spent a decade on the program Cheaters exposing infidels, and featured in various films and television series. Previously, he was most known for remarking on The Glass House, “I’m an idiot when it comes to smarts.”
According to Gawker, his performance earned him the following description:
“Insofar as he is compulsively watchable, he is a trash guy to match a rubbish program.”
In his most recent performance, Stein, dressed in a suit and tie that matched the colors of the Ukrainian flag, played a background rhythm and sang:
“When I’m in the studio spitting on the mic, I’m the evidence. Putin is anti-vax and despises all Blacks. Putin is a horrible racist. Put him in the earth, white or brown, and I’ll be in Plano, and you know you’ve been discovered. I’m a p*mp with a balloon.”

He lauded Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, calling him “clever,” and added that gas prices are too high and that Russian President Vladimir Putin should die. Following the rap, Stein said that they must all get rid of Putin, as urged by Lindsey Graham. He then thanked the mayor and mentioned his Instagram handle. Stein referred to Graham’s frequent recommendation that someone murder Putin in order to resolve the continuing Russia-Ukraine crisis.
This isn’t the first time Stein’s raps have generated news. In October 2021, while dressed in medical scrubs and face masks, he performed a song about the COVID-19 vaccinations to the Dallas City Council. To encourage people to be vaccinated in a humorous manner, Alex Stein requested Dr. Anthony Fauci to give him that “ouchie,” alluding to the prick that a person experiences when the needle enters the body.
