Alex Cooper, the popular Call Her Daddy podcast presenter, actual name Alexandra, became embroiled in a scandal after being caught for manipulating her Instagram photos in August 2021. The incident erupted when Cooper shared a modified version of a photo from her August 21, 2021 birthday vacation to Las Vegas. But, of course, no one would have seen the alterations if Lauren hadn’t submitted the identical photo without editing in a photo dump. Needless to say, observant viewers were quick to see the discrepancies and compare the two images. Many others chastised the social media influencer for encouraging unrealistic physique expectations. They even accused her of discouraging people from submitting their images.
Thankfully, several of her admirers sympathized with her and pointed out how all women feel pressured to modify their photos before uploading them on social media. Cooper kept silent on the matter of her decision of photoshopping her images, despite much criticism, and finally broke her quiet months later.

Cooper discussed the photos that exposed her for Photoshopping her appearance on her podcast episode titled ‘I Got Caught Photoshopping’ on September 22, 2021. The skilled broadcaster recalled how pleased she was the whole night she spent with her family and friends on her birthday. As she put it, she felt wonderful and at ease as a human. However, she became dissatisfied with her figure as soon as she saw herself in photographs.
So, before publishing the photo on Instagram, she used FaceTune, an editing program, to give herself an hourglass look. Unfortunately, the podcaster awoke the next day to harrowing hate comments. She erased the photos right away and avoided viewing videos with critical material and harsh comments. Cooper said that she hadn’t used TikTok since the event. However, the 27-year-old later declared that the issue was an intervention for her, stating that she would never again manipulate photos for her social media accounts. People may think, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re only confessing this because you were caught.’ Yes, but also no, but also yes. It’s almost like an intervention, in a sense.
Cooper soon revealed that she had been manipulating her images since high school, shortly after outlining how things went down. She said that she made her legs seem larger since she was harassed for having tiny ones. Cooper has long been open about manipulating photos, as she has admitted. In truth, she embellished her cosmetic surgery allegations and attributed her flawless appearance to Photoshop.

Rumors about Cooper’s plastic surgery have long hung over him. Thankfully, the Pennsylvania native cleared the air on the subject through her podcast on December 29, 2018. The pair addressed some of the most frequently requested questions when presenting the program with her then-co-host Sofia Franklyn. One of the queries as if they have undergone cosmetic surgery on their physique and lips. Cooper denied having cosmetic surgery and emphasized that their podcast’s cover image was edited. She also admitted to doing the Kylie Jenner lip challenge just before the photograph, claiming that they didn’t look like that in real life.
